You get what you pay for with video capture cards, look for one that connects directly to your computer's mother board and avoid any USB devices. The transfer rate with USB is too slow to keep up with real-time video capture and quality will suffer a lot. A variation of this option is to have StashSpace convert your hi8 video to digital and send you back the raw files on a portable hard drive.
